Such is the life of single parents everywhere. We want to be there for our children but we struggle to make the time while putting food on the table.
I have certainly been there.
When I became a single parent 12 years ago I was really struggling to make ends meet. Job opportunities were there but I already worked a full time job and barely had time to spend with my son.
I also found that if I worked an additional job I simply took that money to pay a sitter. That made no sense to me.
I realized that what I needed is a job that I could do while my child was asleep.

Well these are opportunities so why not. The thing about these are they were not going to help me to achieve financial freedom, while allowing me to have more quality time with my family.
Instead, I would find myself physically present but mentally absent while I struggle to eek out a living this way.
Eventually I stumbled on the one thing that worked for me. It was the one thing that would allow me to earn a significant amount of money online while having more time with my family.
It was not a job. It was a business opportunity.

As an affiliate Marketer you are an independent business owner. While you should work on your business regularly you are in control of the time you choose to work as well as the number of hours you choose to put in daily.
I know several affiliate marketers who claimed to have gotten started while working a few hours per day on their business.
When I started out as an affiliate marketer I was holding down a full time job and running an offline business.
The business did not require much hands-on-work from me. As such I was able to commit three hours per day to my online business.
I worked from 4 to 7 or 7:30 in the morning while my children were asleep.
This meant that I could avoid taking away from my family time to run my business.

Due to the very nature of single parenting, the cost of starting an affiliate marketing business makes it a great fit.
This is a low cost business. the main cost comes in the price for the domain and hosting.
Personally I’d advise single parents to invest some money in making a success of this business.

Long Term Passive Earnings
One of the things I love about Affiliate Marketing is the ability to earn passive income in the long term.
The fact is that I could build a website today and have it generate income way into the future is great. This mean that I could have this as part of my long term plan for my retirement.
During the early days websites do not earn much, rather they tend to generate serious income as they grow older.
How about we build a business today that could afford us the opportunity to quit our day jobs about 4 years from now.
Such is the nature of Affiliate Marketing.
Family Business
Every parent wants to leave something of great value behind for our children. Unfortunately the limited options available to single parents means that this may not be such an easy task to accomplish.

As a child who was born into a family business I have always found this to be a very important thing to do for your children.

During the period when I started my venture into this field my son, a twelve year old also started a YouTube Channel.

You See my older child always had a love for computers and never let anything stand in his way of learning to use programs well. I thought it premature since he was still in school.

He even showed an interest in becoming a blogger and wished to be enrolled in the Wealthy Affiliate University where I was studying. I gave my Ok providing that it did not get in the way of his studies.
I realized that the affiliate marketing business could be his inheritance one day. I hope to build a family business that lasts.
The State Of The World
With the advent of COVID 19 and warnings to stay at home, many people have moved to the online place to meet their daily needs.
This largest market place in the world is experiencing rapid growth.
This mean that there has never been a better time to start an online business.
Conclusion
Single parenting often comes with limited options, low funds and very little time for family.
This does not have to be the way, however. Affiliate marketing makes it possible to break through these barriers.
This is why I became an affiliate marketer and highly recommend it as a business venture that works well for single parents.
Additionally this is a business type that is not limited to geographical area.
